I'm Tato, a passionate tattoo artist and illustrator based in Lisbon, Portugal.
Originally from Argentina, I've spent years refining my skills in tattoo artistry and illustration. Now, as a proud member of the Names Tattoo Studio team in Lisbon, I'm excited to continue my journey of growth and learning in this amazing industry.
Crafting technique and style
I've been drawing my whole life, but my interest in tattooing started almost a decade ago when I discovered the handpoke technique. Although it's an ancient method, it was new to me and the tattoo industry in Argentina. With limited information and resources available, I began my journey by learning traditional machine tattooing to gain general knowledge and then set out on my own to master handpoke art.
The learning process was gradual and challenging, but with dedicated practice, I eventually perfected the technique. As my confidence grew, I began integrating color into my designs, embracing the crayon/pencil stroke style that has always defined my drawings. Now skilled in both handpoke and machine techniques, I blend the strengths of each to develop a distinctive artistic style, ensuring the best possible results for every piece of artwork.
Artistic exploration
After years of refining my craft independently, and at my own pace, I took a significant step forward in 2022 by joining Pumarosa Tattoo Studio, a contemporary hub for creativity in Buenos Aires.
In addition to my studio work, I've had the privilege of embarking on guest trips to renowned tattoo studios in Lisbon, London, Barcelona, Madrid, and Paris, which have not only expanded my artistic horizons but also enriched my connections with incredible people and tattoo artists.

Creating a comfortable and enjoyable experience for my clients is a top priority. From the initial consultation to the final tattoo session, I work hard to provide a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
I'm proud of welcoming my customers into a safe and inviting space, where they can openly share their tattoo aspirations. Collaboration is key, and I work closely with them to bring their tattoo dreams to life.
